Replacing an Outdated Mobile Solution

With a legacy mobility system that was awkward to use for operators, Twinings was looking to upgrade its solution. Implementing PreBilt for SAP WM helped to streamline warehouse operations.

Founded over 300 years ago, Twinings famously produces high quality tea, as well as other beverages such as coffee and hot chocolate. One of its main challenges was stock accuracy, what was reported on the mobile platform did not represent what was in the warehouse. Increased Stock Accuracy by 99.7%

Challenges with the goods receipt of pallets was creating a £500,000 stock discrepancy for a multi-national drinks manufacturer.

The business was utilising a legacy system at its UK site to connect to the pallet labeller and control the goods receipt of pallets from production into the warehouse. With a complex and unsupported set-up, the system was not utilising the power of SAP EWM, which was contributing to a high level of goods receipt errors.

Univar Solutions, a global chemical and ingredients distributor was struggling with an outdated RF solution across four of its SAP WM run sites.

The introduction of PreBilt has transformed the operation at Univar Solutions, with a much simpler process for users to complete transactions and all updates visible in SAP in real-time, enabling greater stock accuracy and traceability. Reducing Production Delays

Sunseeker, a luxury yacht manufacturer was relying on manual picking processes within its SAP WM run production plants and warehouses.

Operators were inputting data into SAP at desktop terminals, which was resulting in processing issues due to a delay in stock being visible in SAP. This was slowing down the picking process as parts were not in the location expected when operators were picking orders for production. This had a knock-on effect on the production, as delivery of the right parts to the production plant could be delayed, risking Sunseeker being penalised for late delivery of completed yachts.
