We are excited to reveal the latest release for PreBilt™ for EWM, our rapid-deployment mobile solution for the SAP supply chain. Listening to customer and market feedback, key features have been introduced to boost efficiency and optimise ease of use. This release includes some minor updates, as well as the introduction of two new features: single sign-on functionality and the communication hub.
Single Sign-On
Following customer requests for single sign-on capabilities within PreBilt, the latest release has been updated to support this new functionality. Users will now have the option to log on to PreBilt through a trusted identity provider, such as Microsoft Azure, simplifying access and providing greater security for IT teams. This innovation can enhance usability, reduce on-boarding times and simplify compliance processes.
Single sign-on allows users to log into multiple systems with a single set of identification details, which gives IT teams greater control over data security, particularly when users require access to multiple software solutions. By integrating with a company’s new or existing authentication system, customers can further optimise PreBilt’s substantial ease of use while simplifying compliance processes.
Communication Hub
Adopting a human centric approach to onsite problem solving, the new release of PreBilt for EWM includes an integrated communication hub. The new capability streamlines user communication by providing warehouse operatives with the ability to message back office teams and supervisors without disrupting their activities.
By tapping a speech bubble icon on the PreBilt interface, users can open the communication hub from any PreBilt screen, from which they can view new messages they have received or send a new message. The new message categories are configurable but could include accidents, breakages, spillages and requests for a break. Users can navigate a drop-down menu to select factors like urgency, location or teams involved, provide the details in the free text box and then submit, notifying a selected user or group of users to receive the message.
The PreBilt communication hub supports two-way communication, so administrators and office teams can reply directly to operators in real time. They can also send mass notifications and alerts to all users, quickly informing team members about fire drills, team meetings, system maintenance and other essential updates.
Empowering administrators to instantly notify operators and respond to alerts can promote rapid communication and problem solving across multiple location types, cutting disruption and downtime for more efficient onsite activity.
