We are delighted to be working on a new project with one of our existing customers, a leading industrial automation company, implementing SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) at its Tennessee site as part of a wider SAP global template programme.
We have been working with the business for several years, providing expert consultancy as well as SAP Application Management Services (AMS) and innovative software solutions.
We initially implemented SAP EWM with our innovative mobile scanning solution, PreBilt™ at the customer’s Germany warehouse. With this implementation serving as a template for further rollouts to the customer’s other global sites, the next intended site is its US warehousing facility in Tennsessee.
The rollout of the template EWM solution at the USA site will occur over two distinct phases to ensure minimal disruption for users. Phase one will involve us working closely with the customer’s team to capture their specific solution requirements. This will be followed by a small-scale deployment with minimal customisation, managing a small proportion of the site’s volume of operation. Phase two will then see a full implementation covering 100% of the site’s end-to-end processes, including the remainder of the required localised developments identified during phase one.
As with the Germany implementation, there is a requirement on site for a mobile application to run daily operations using RF handheld devices, tablets and mobile printers. PreBilt™ will therefore also be rolled out to the site, enabling core processes to be easily executed on one user-friendly application.
Ensuring a smooth transition to the new EWM and PreBilt solution, knowledge transfer for end-users on site will occur throughout both implementation phases, with solution documentation also provided. Furthermore, adopting a train the trainer approach, we will help ensure successful onboarding for all future end-users.
