We are celebrating three decades of success, by looking back at our fantastic achievements, since The Config Team journey started back in 1994.
Founded by our MD, Andrew Moses, as a one-man band, working with one customer, we have grown into the leading global name we are today, with nearly 200 employees across the UK and Australia and more than 110 active customers across 30 countries worldwide.
In our 30th year, 2024 has already seen more milestones achieved, with us hitting 110 active customers and implementing solutions in five new countries, including our first deployments in the Middle East.
A key part of our success is the ability to innovate and adapt to industry and customer needs. While our talented consultants continually find new ways to solve customers’ SAP challenges and continue to deliver complex SAP S/4HANA and EWM projects that exceed customer expectations, our UK and Australia-based AMS team provides unrivalled functional and technical support.
Always looking for ways to make SAP easier for users, our software team continues to introduce the latest technology, including AI, into our mobile solution to help customer drive efficiency gains, retain talent and reduce operational costs.
While we are now known as a major player in the SAP world, delivering innovative solutions for our consultancy, AMS and software customers, it is the unique culture cultivated by Andrew and his wife, Carolyn, that has led to the company being where it is today.
Firmly believing in putting its people first has led to many long-standing team members that have been with the company more than 10, 15, 20 years and this expertise and knowledge within the business is unrivalled. With a strong ethos of recruiting the highest standard of SAP consultants, along with identifying promising young talent with our graduate scheme, customers really do get not only the most talented SAP teams, but the most caring.
Andrew Moses explains “Our team genuinely cares about the customer and doing what is right for them, not just what is easiest for us – which really sets us apart from other consultancies. This is why we have so many long-standing customers that come back to us time and time again to work with them to deliver very complex SAP solutions, we have such expertise within our team they make it look easy and it really isn’t!”
With offers to acquire his business on a weekly basis, Andrew is very firm that the company is not for sale, continuing: “I have a passion for keeping our business family-owned, caring for our colleagues and creating a positive culture. Selling a company or seeking external investors often leads to losing the essence of what makes it special in the first place. Myself and Carolyn cherish what we have built and are committed to nurturing it to grow even stronger.”
Andrew goes on to explain it is not just his family that make the business what it is, “As well as my son recently joining the business, we also have lots of other family connections, where brothers, cousins, sons and daughters of our trusted employees are all welcomed into the business. It makes me so proud that we have created such a fantastic culture, that our team are happy for their family to join our Config Team community.”
