Building on our strong history of successful EWM projects, we are pleased to be working on a new project with one of our longstanding customers to support its upgrade from SAP EWM 9.1 to 9.5.
The customer, a leading home furnishing retailer in the UK, currently utilises SAP EWM 9.1 powered by SAP ECC 6 to manage operations at its two distribution centres. In order to remain fully supported by SAP, including access to package enhancements and bug fixes, it has been decided that it will upgrade to SAP EWM 9.5. Based on our strong history of successful projects together, and unrivalled SAP EWM knowledge, we were asked to assist.
Following an assessment phase with the customer to understand its current processes and functionality, and to decide on the best approach, our expert consultants will now be working closely with the retailer’s internal team to deliver the upgrade.
Our services will include a preparation phase to ensure system readiness and compile test scripts for the project, followed by a technical analysis of the system following the upgrade to identify any process changes or potential issues.
Testing is integral to the success of an upgrade project of this scope. Our team will be responsible for the regression testing of all warehouse scenarios for both sites, making sure there are no changes to their functionality. We will also be overseeing the internal team’s user acceptance testing (UAT), and final validation, ensuring that key operational processes have not been impacted. We will then execute the cutover process to the upgraded system.
The customer will also benefit from our go-live and early live support of the upgraded system, as well as knowledge transfer and handover to our BAU support team.
