We are delighted to be embarking on a project with a new customer to implement PreBilt™, our SAP mobile inventory software for the SAP supply chain, to digitise its warehouse processes.
The business, a leading brewing company based in the USA, is currently deploying SAP Inventory Management (IM) across its two warehouses. While one site utilises some mobile technology, the second facility currently relies on manual processes for the movement of stock through the warehouse from goods in, through to internal stock movements and on to outbound picking. The brewing company was looking for an effective mobile inventory solution, which could digitise its key supply chain processes to maximise efficiency and turned to PreBilt.
Following a review of the customer’s systems and processes, our team will be deploying PreBilt for IM, including IM Multi Bin Management, to manage goods receipt from production, inventory counting, putaway, bin to bin movements, storage location postings, and picking for outbound deliveries.
IM Multi Bin Management is a mobile solution to manage inventory in multiple storage bins in SAP IM. The customer did not need the additional functionality of SAP WM, but with IM only providing the functionality to maintain one fixed bin, this functionality enables bins to be defined as storage locations, bridging the gap between SAP Inventory Management (IM) and Warehouse Management (WM).
Our dedicated product team will be working closely with the customer’s internal team to ensure that PreBilt meets its operational requirements, with the mobile inventory solution’s highly configurable design meaning that screen layouts can be easily changed to enhance the user experience with no additional development.
While PreBilt’s user interface is simple and intuitive to use, requiring very little in the way of training, we will be carrying out knowledge transfer activities to ensure that everyone on site is comfortable using the new software. The business will also benefit from our support services following go-live enabling PreBilt to continue operating at optimum capacity.
