In an exciting new project with an Australian customer, we will be deploying PreBilt™, our user-friendly mobile scanning solution for the SAP supply chain, into a warehouse facility.
As a leading distributor of electronic components, the company requires a high degree of automation to ensure efficiency within the supply chain. With the construction of a new warehouse in New South Wales to consolidate several smaller warehouses, the customer approached us to deliver a full SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) implementation on S/4HANA.
As part of this engagement, it became clear that the standard SAP mobile solution did not provide the essential usability required by the customer. As a result, PreBilt will be deployed not only to provide a user-friendly solution for operatives but also to streamline core functionality, introduce new features, and consolidate existing processes.
PreBilt’s user-friendly interface is a key benefit for this project, with the introduction of enhanced UI features such as swiping through tasks, alternative keyboards, and soft keypad suppression, making daily tasks easier to complete. Likewise, the introduction of our award-winning gamification tools, as well as operator messaging and screen customisation options, will increase productivity and efficiency through improved user engagement.
Some critical challenges for this project are that the solution must work on any device, handle network instability without logging out users, and require image display and capture functionality. The ideal solution, PreBilt is device-agnostic as standard, compatible with all major hardware manufacturers, while also delivering scanning, image display, and capture tools, as well as keeping operators logged in and retaining progress if temporary network connectivity drop-outs occur.
