We are happy to be working with an existing customer to deploy PreBilt™, our mobile SAP barcode scanning solution for the SAP supply chain, at a warehouse facility in the UK.
The customer is a manufacturer of glass containers for the UK, Irish and European food and beverage industry, currently using a non-SAP ERP system. The company approached us to help bring processes up to date, supporting its transition to SAP EWM on S/4HANA. The customer’s parent company already operates SAP and transitioned to S/4HANA last year, so this system is to be used as a baseline for new innovations.
We initially began work with this customer as part of a separate S/4HANA consultancy project, as the business wanted to transform operations for improved efficiency, streamlined integration with automation systems and live KPIs. During discussions around the optimisation of warehouse activities, it became clear that PreBilt for EWM would meet the customer’s requirement for a user-friendly mobile SAP barcode scanning solution.
Specifically, PreBilt will enable the automation of key manual processes within the warehouse, helping users to identify, pick and transfer the correct goods from storage with enhanced visibility and accuracy. Teams will have improved access to data surrounding the production of goods and batch management tools. PreBilt’s built in RF scanning capabilities will allow users to quickly and efficiently scan product barcodes and pallet labels, with data immediately available in SAP, for a more streamlined and precise goods out process.
