We will be working with a new customer to deploy PreBilt™, our mobile scanning solution for the SAP supply chain, within a production plant in the UK.
The leading meat substitute manufacturer is looking to modernise operations onsite. Following an assessment of the customer’s existing SAP landscape, we identified potential improvements to the traceability and accuracy of key processes within SAP Inventory Management (IM) at this facility. To meet these requirements, PreBilt for IM will be deployed with a focus on general postings, goods receipt and inventory management.
PreBilt will enable users to complete goods receipt processes in real time, providing enhanced visibility of goods through the site. Operators will also have the ability to post goods to a newly created custom location, streamlining the process considerably.
Efficiency when transferring stock between this site and a 3PL external location is essential, with the 3PL requirements for utilising Advanced Shipping Notifications (ASNs) and Serial Shipping Container Codes (SSCCs) key to the project. PreBilt functionality, such as creating and issuing stock transfer orders, has been configured to achieve compliance, while optimising warehouse efficiency.
Moving from manual processes, user adoption of the new mobile scanning solution will be critical. PreBilt is specifically designed to be intuitive, with a streamlined and easily configurable interface for swift adoption. Even so, knowledge transfer sessions, early-life support and technical guides with be provided for users and support teams.
