One of our long-standing customers will be deploying PreBilt, our mobile scanning software for the SAP supply chain, as part of an SAP migration project for its distribution facility in the UK.
The leading multinational food manufacturer was using a non-SAP ERP system at this site, which did not meet expectations. As the customer’s trusted SAP consultancy partner, and due to previous successful SAP implementations at other sites, we were approached to transition the UK facility to SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM).
Following a blueprint project and series of consulting workshops, PreBilt was identified as a solution that could deliver benefits as part of the EWM implementation. Having already worked with the customer to deploy PreBilt at other sites globally, there was an existing appreciation for the solution’s intuitive UI, broad compatibility and ability to improve key stock control processes. As a result, PreBilt for EWM will be deployed alongside the EWM migration project.
With a large proportion of onsite stock being perishable goods, teams need access to up-to-date information to avoid wastage and manage stock quantities. PreBilt’s real-time connection to SAP means operators can access live data instantly, making it easy to check expiry dates and stock levels and take the necessary actions. This will help the customer to avoid running low on stock, without risking additional waste, saving time and resources while improving operational efficiency.
As operators could be unfamiliar with SAP EWM, or SAP ERP systems in general, the user-friendly nature of PreBilt is ideal, with minimal training requirements helping support quick user adoption. Not only is PreBilt intuitive by design, with a clear and streamlined UI, but it can also be easily configured to adjust text sizes, include guiding images and remove unnecessary fields, so it can be quickly tailored for the customer’s requirements.
