We are excited to be collaborating with one of our longstanding customers on a new discovery engagement, providing expert support as it looks to integrate a new business into its SAP landscape.
The customer, a UK-based manufacturer and distributor of building supplies, has recently acquired a new business and is exploring the feasibility of integrating this new acquisition into its SAP S/4HANA system. We were asked to assist with an initial discovery period based on our strong history of successful projects together and our great ongoing working relationship. We have previously transitioned the business from SAP ECC to a new SAP S/4HANA solution, completing a carve-out from its parent company. We also provide ongoing SAP Application Management Services (AMS) with service delivery management to support this solution.
The discovery project will include a thorough investigation of the newly acquired business to formulate an integration plan. Our team will work closely with both the customer and the new business to understand the data migration requirements and propose a solution design that meets them.
The SAP S/4HANA system we implemented includes Finance and Controlling, Materials Management, Sales and Distribution, Warehouse Management and Production Planning, plus Roles and Authorisations. There are also several customer-specific customisations and bespoke elements in ABAP and Fiori. To ensure seamless integration with all aspects of the solution, this engagement will involve several of our specialist solution architects working alongside an overall design authority to oversee the solution design.
This project aims not only to help the customer integrate the new acquisition but also to establish a scalable and efficient integration process for any future acquisitions, supporting the business’s long-term growth strategy.
