SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2502 Update: Our Highlights
SAP continues to invest in its SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition solution, with the many customers now using it benefitting from update releases in February and August as standard. Last month’s ‘SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2502’ update offers many new features and innovations to unlock new levels of efficiency, resilience and growth for users, with many highlights catching our attention, including:
- Supply chain enhancements: SAP has continued to grow its supply chain capabilities with new enhancements across product availability and split valuations, to name just two. Additionally, new functionalities and insights have been brought into many of the regularly used apps, empowering businesses to be more agile in responding to customer demands.
- Big focus on AI: With Joule now being supported in SAP S/4HANA Cloud we are really looking forward to exploring its capabilities in the cloud environment and experiencing how Joule can assist customers in performing business tasks and driving faster business outcomes.
- AI enhancements in finance: It’s great to see AI continuing to make inroads into finance. For example, AI can now demystify depreciation keys by generating a simple natural language description with just the click of a mouse. This enhancement makes financial processes more intuitive and user-friendly.
- Further exciting finance update: The new Product Cost Breakdown feature offers detailed insights into manufacturing costs, helping you see how changes in primary costs like energy prices, wages or depreciation affect your product’s profitability. You can customise how the cost breakdown looks based on your overheads, and view the new breakdown alongside the old cost component split for comparison
- Sales and distribution update: From a sales and distribution perspective, the multiple address concept is particularly exciting. This feature allows for multiple delivery addresses for a single sold-to party, helping to simplify business partner master data and streamline ongoing maintenance and reporting.
- Commitment to Legislative Changes: As we have come to expect from SAP, it continues to show its commitment to staying current with all country-specific legislative changes. This release includes a raft of new items that ensure compliance and support for various regional requirements.
