PreBilt™ Forest 

 

Our mobile SAP solution, PreBilt™, can replace paper within the supply chain by digitising manual processes. To maximise this positive impact, we have partnered with the climate action company, Ecologi, to deliver our PreBilt Forest initiative.  

We will plant one tree for every new user of PreBilt, in addition to an initial 25,000 planted to kickstart the project – one for every existing PreBilt user. 

With deforestation leading to widespread habitat damage, biodiversity loss and aridity, combatting paper-waste and increasing tree numbers is critical. The PreBilt Forest helps us to realise these environmental goals.

Deforestation has led to soil degradation, more frequent landslides and hydrological damage in many poverty affected areas. Afforestation can restore ecosystems, stabilise terrain and provide consistent income for local people who plant and maintain the new trees.

Absorbing and storing carbon 

With carbon emissions an ever-present threat to climate safety, tree planting is an effective method to combat rising CO2 levels. Trees sequester carbon from the atmosphere throughout their lifecycles, with forests naturally absorbing twice as much carbon as they release. By increasing tree numbers, we can help remove CO2 from the atmosphere and store it safely.

PreBilt can completely replace paper within the supply chain, applicable at all stages from the receipt of raw materials to delivery of goods. This not only reduces the amount of paper waste produced from a company’s activity, but cuts demand for new paper, helping to combat additional tree felling and emissions from paper production.

Through comprehensive digitisation, PreBilt can significantly reduce the use of printers, scanners and similar devices onsite. By replacing manual, paper-based processes with a mobile solution, companies can help reduce energy consumption within the supply chain, meaning less CO2 is released when generating the necessary power.

Efficiency is key for sustainability, so when operators take confusing or indirect routes to picking locations, this wastes time and resources – particularly when driving forklifts or operating machinery. With an intuitive user interface, improved stock accuracy and real-time data, PreBilt can greatly improve the accuracy of orders leaving a site. By cutting order errors, the requirement for repeat journeys and re-deliveries is minimised.
